Aquinas’s angels do not deliver culture-free truths from heaven. They carry ideas shaped by the specific Christian view of one God in three persons (the Trinity). Their “universal” messages are always tied to that Christian way of seeing the world.

Spinoza goes further: he removes any personal God entirely, turning everything into parts of one vast, impersonal nature. There is no heavenly sender at all.

In a world with many gods and many civilisations, this is not a problem but the normal situation. Each civilisation has its own deep way of understanding reality. Any “divine” truth always arrives filtered through human culture and history. Today’s global clashes between civilisations simply make obvious what has always been true: there are no pure transmissions, only ideas we must negotiate across different worldviews.
